rmers play a key role in transferring agricultural knowledge and experience and in supporting sustainable rural development. Understanding the factors affecting their influence power and interaction with extension is essential for effective planning. This study aimed to examine the impact of communication, trust, and information acquisition on the influence power of outstanding farmers in Ardabil Province. This research was conducted using a descriptive–analytical survey design. The statistical population consisted of outstanding farmers in Ardabil Province from 2016 to 2020 (N = 251). Data were collected through a questionnaire from a sample of 114 respondents, determined using Cochran’s formula. The questionnaire’s validity was confirmed by a panel of experts, and its reliability was verified through Cronbach’s alpha coefficients for the main constructs (above 0.76). Outstanding farmers had the highest levels of communication and trust with officials and experts of the Agricultural Jihad Organization, and extension agents at district and county centers. The level of information obtained from these sources was also evaluated as high. Multiple regression analysis showed that the overall model was statistically significant, and the examined variables explained 43% of the variance in influence power. Analysis of standardized coefficients revealed that only the level of communication with officials and experts of the Agricultural Jihad Organization had a significant effect on influence power. To strengthen farmers’ influence power and enhance knowledge transfer among them, reinforcing institutional communications and effective interaction with extension institutions is essential. This can contribute to sustainable agricultural development and the enhancement of local capacities.
