Improving the exterior appearance of rural housing, both aesthetically and environmentally, is a key factor in enhancing the quality of rural life. This study aimed to analyze the factors influencing the improvement of residential façades in the rural areas of Garmsar, applying a biophilic architecture approach. The research employed a descriptive–analytical methodology based on field data collected through questionnaires. The study’s indicators and variables were extracted through a review of theoretical foundations and interviews with architecture experts and specialists. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS, applying descriptive statistics, normality tests, Friedman test, and correlation analysis. The results indicated that the natural–environmental dimension had the most significant impact on improving rural façades, with indicators such as the use of native materials, incorporation of green elements, and climatic harmony being particularly influential. The physical–functional, socio–cultural, and perceptual–aesthetic dimensions also contributed notably to façade quality. These findings align with previous domestic and international studies and confirm the role of biophilic architecture in enhancing aesthetics, cultural identity, and residents’ mental well-being. This study demonstrates that applying biophilic design principles in rural housing façades, especially in hot and arid climates, can promote sustainable development, increase residents’ satisfaction, and preserve local identity. Based on the findings, it is recommended that rural designers and planners focus on natural materials, harmonious color schemes, and green elements to improve both the visual and functional quality of façades.
