The current coastal fishing model in the Caspian Sea is dominated by cooperatives, commonly referred to as "Pareh" cooperatives. Many residents of the coastal villages engage in fishing activities. In the coastal regions of Talesh, fishing constitutes a major source of employment, income, and food security for the local population, although its specific characteristics and impacts have not been thoroughly studied. This study aims to evaluate the economic performance of fishing cooperatives in the coastal villages of Talesh County. The research employs a survey-based, descriptive-analytical approach. Statistical data were collected through questionnaires, cooperative records, documents from the Fisheries Department, and interviews with cooperative members and fisheries experts. The statistical population comprises fishermen residing in Talesh's coastal villages, from whom 380 individuals were randomly selected and surveyed. Cronbach's alpha values for institutional, economic, and social indicators were 0.710, 0.780, and 0.797 respectively, indicating acceptable reliability of the questionnaire. Results show that the institutional indicator, with a mean of 2.49, was rated lower by experts compared to other indicators, while the economic indicator, with a mean of 1.48, was evaluated more positively. Regarding partial productivity scores, "Haft-Tir" Cooperative ranked the lowest (score 40), while "Omid Chobar" Cooperative ranked the highest (score 49). Comparative analysis of total costs, revenues, and profits revealed that, aside from "Haft-Tir" Cooperative, both "Omid Chobar" and "Shohada Jokandan" cooperatives showed positive profitability. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS and Excel, and spatial mapping was performed using GIS software. Based on the scale and nature of the data, correlation analysis, one-sample parametric t-tests, and the non-parametric Friedman test were employed. The findings indicate that, from the perspective of local fishermen, fishing activities have generally had a significant, varied, and positive impact on economic development indicators in the coastal villages of Talesh
